Welcome to Nealley's Corner Church . .

Nealley's Corner Church is a bit unusual. We are not big, do not have a lot of room, nor do we have all the programs of a large church. We are a jeans and tee shirt crowd mostly, but a tie wearer isn't stared at, at least not much.

We have only plain people. Most of us realize we are imperfect (every group has some who think they are better than others) and strive to learn the biblical truth we need to grow into the image of Christ.  We hope to become the sort of place where it is safe to “blow it.” By that we mean, sinners welcome, welcome to come and meet Jesus and let him change you as he changes us.

We are a group who believe the Bible is God's word, that it is revealed propositional truth. That means we think he gave it to us to act on it's principles.

We welcome anyone to come and check us out. If we are not your sort of church, we will gladly help you locate a church that fits your needs in the area.

So drop on in, say hi, get hugged by Shirley, and then listen to the Word. Who knows, you may find you are home, Or wish you'd stayed there.

God Bless you,
Steve

 Nealley's Corner Church By-Laws

Feed the flock of God: care for it willingly, not grudgingly: not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve the Lord. Don't be tyrants, but lead them by your good example. And when the head Shepard comes, your reward will be a never-ending share in His glory and honor. You younger men, follow the leadership of those who are older. And all of you serve each other with humble spirits; for God gives special blessings to those who are humble, but sets himself against those who are proud. If you will humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, in His good time He will lift you up. Let Him have all your worries and cares, for He is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you. Be careful -- Watch out for attacks from Satan, your great enemy. He prowls around like a hungry lion, looking for some victim to tear apart. Stand firm when he attacks. Trust the Lord and remember that other Christians all around the world are going through these sufferings too. After you have suffered a little while, our God who is full of kindness through Christ, will give you His eternal glory. He personally will come and pick you up and set you firmly in place and make you stronger than ever. To him be all power over all things, forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5:2-11 (Living Bible)

Articles of Faith

1. We believe in the scriptures as verbally inspired by God and inherent in the original writing, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.

2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

3. We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary and is true man.

4. We believe that man was created in the image of God: that he sinned and thereby incurred, not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God: and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in thought, word and deed.

5. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and that all who receive Him by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit and are justified on the grounds of His shed blood.

6. We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven and in His present life for us as High Priest and advocate.

7. We believe in the personal and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting punishment of the lost.

1. Purpose - Preaching and teaching the gospel to all creatures (Mark 16:15). To love the Lord our God will all our heart, soul, mind and strength (Mark 12:30). Love our neighbor as ourselves (Mark 12:31). Teaching to observe all things, whatsoever I have commanded you (Mark 28:20). To clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience, bearing with each other and forgiving one another as the Lord has forgiven us (Col . 3:12-13). Using our gifts to service others, so the body of Christ may be built up (Eph. 4:12). Raise our children in the nuture and admonition of the Lord (Eph. 6:4). Holding fast to what we believe and watching for Christ's return (Rev. 3:3).

A. Helping to support and encourage missionaries financially and by prayer.

B. Reach out to people, both saved and unsaved, exposing them to the gospel for cultivation of the saved and salvation of the unsaved.

2. Vision - People matter to God. Because they matter to God, they must also matter to the church. Lost people, saved people, all people must be the bottom line: not programs, buildings or money or any other temporal things. These things are important, but only as they relate to people. We must reach the unsaved and the unchurched and help them develop into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
